Steve Baek

Founder & Head Instructor, BK Hockey

Steve Baek moved to Canada in 2006 and began his coaching career there, which led to the founding of BK Hockey. A former professional hockey player, Steve competed in the Asia League and represented the Korean national team at the World Championships.

With extensive experience working with hockey prospects of all ages and backgrounds, Steve has coached and trained players across the globe — including in Canada, the USA, Russia, Sweden, Finland, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Austria, Poland, Kazakhstan, Japan, China, Hong Kong, and South Korea.

His clients range from house league players to professionals competing in the NHL, KHL, OHL, and PWHL. Regardless of skill level, Steve’s only requirements are that his students are committed to significantly improving their hockey skills and are willing to give 100% to reach their goals.
